Hello, I've enjoyed your research on here. We, lineage of Reuben Potter (son of Benjamin) and Hulda, have reason to believe that Reuben's death date has been recorded inaccurately on the original paperwork way back when. There are Civil War records stating that he did reconnaissance via horseback for the Confederacy for quite a while (a year or two)after they show the year he supposedly died. The relevance of this is that he had another child with Hulda, John Potter. I am in that line. We have DNA linking us through John to Reuben and further back. Belinda Gentry Cross
